Kevin Michael "Toby" McKeehan (born October 22, 1964 in Fairfax, Virginia), professionally known as TobyMac, is an American singer and rapper. His first major appearance was as one of the original members of the dc Talk trio. He remained with them from 1989 until they split in 2000. He has since had a successful solo career, releasing ten studio albums, five remix albums, and three live albums.

Early Life[]

Toby was born on October 22, 1964, in Fairfax, Virginia. As a child, Toby grew up in Annandale, Virginia. He attended Pine Ridge Elementary (1970-1977). He later attended Luther Jackson Intermediate during the first few months of his 4th grade school year. Toby mentioned both schools in his song "Extreme Days". He would later attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where he met Kevin Max and Michael Tait.
