New Wine was an American Christian rock band formed in 1973 in Dothan, Alabama.
History[]
New Wine was formed in 1973 by a group of friends in Dothan, Alabama. They released their first album, New Wine, in 1974. From 1974 to 1977 the group toured all over the United States, playing various fairs and music festivals. They opened for such acts as The New Christy Minstrels, Andrae Crouch, The Oak Ridge Boys and Kenny Rogers.
Vikki Wade left the group prior to the release of their final album in 1976, and the band disbanded sometime in 1977.
In 2006, the band released a compilation album and a previously unreleased live recording via BandCamp.
