Denga Takalani (born 04 October 1991)[1][2], known professionally as Kingdmusic, is a South African singer and worship leader.[3]
Career[]
Takalani began perfoming at his home church at the age of 12, and writing songs at the age of 14.[3] He released his debut single, 'Holy Ghost Party', in 2013.[4]
In 2018, Takalani released his debut album, Seasons.[1] This was followed by a series of single releases between 2019 and 2021.[4]
In 2021, Takalani released a remix of his 2018 song 'Trust', featuring Jamaican artist K-Anthony.[2] In June 2021, Takalani released the album Denga, a project he had been working on since 2019 and consisting of African-inspired songs.[5] The album later won an awards at the South African Music Awards for Best Contemporary Faith Music Album.[6]
In March 2022, Takalani released a collaboration with CalledOut Music entitled 'Nobody Like You'. The song was inspired by 1 Chronicles 17:20.[7] Later in the year, he released the single 'Miracles'.[8]
