Jonah33 are an American[1] four-person band. The band formed in 2002 and released three studio albums together.[2]
History[]
The band formed in 2007, consisting of Vince Lichlyter, Jason Ronney, Joshua Dougan and Cory Riley. The band released their self-titled debut album in 2003, before releasing their second album, The Strangest Day, in 2005.[3]
In 2007, the band signed with Ares Records, and released their third album, The Heart of War.[4]
In 2008, the band anounced that they were disbanding. Lichlyter began focussing on solo material,[5] as well as collaborating with his wife Amber as The Love Amendment.[6] Dougan also announced that he was recording solo material under the name The Joshua Project.[5]
In 2014, Lichlyter released an EP, Dead Man Walking, under the name Jonah33.[7]
Faith[]
Lichlyter spoke about the mission of the band in a 2005 interview: 'Our mission is to challenge listeners to step outside of the box and understand why Jesus died. No matter what you've gone through, no matter how bad it's been, or how little hope you think you have, we're here to tell you there's someone who can save you from that life'.[1]
