Elle Limebear (born 2 April 1997)[1] is a British singer-songwriter.[2]

Early Life[]

Limebear was raised in Brighton, UK. Her father is Christian worship leader Martin Smith.[2]

Career[]

Limebear began work on her debut album in 2017. In 2018, she signed for Provident Label Group, releasing her first single, 'Holding Me Still', in 2019. After releasing a number of singles throughout 2019, she released her debut self-titled EP.[2]

In January 2020, Limebear appeared as a featured artist on the Matt Maher single 'Alive and Breathing'.[3] The song topped Billboard's Christian Airplay chart,[4] and was also listed on the Rolling Stone Trending 25 list.[5] In February 2020, Limebear released her debut full-length album, 'Lost in Wonder'.[6]

In early 2022, Limebear became a founding member of British worship group Manor Collective, alongside a group of artists including CalledOut Music. The group released their debut single, Father's House, in January 2022.[7]

In January 2022, Limebear released a duet with Martin Smith entitled 'Our Eyes Are On You'.[8] In June 2022, she released a cover of the Maverick City Music single 'Rest On Us',[9] which entered the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart in August 2022 at number 48.[10]

In a 2020 interview, Limebear spoke about her revelations since she was a child: 'We can't escape the wonder of God's glory and creation, it's everywhere - we just have to open our eyes. We've been brought from being lost in darkness to light. But to be lost in wonder is to be lost in the wondrous light of God'.[2]
