Bellarive is an American Christian pop-rock music band that started in Orlando, Florida,[1] in 2009. The band has released 2 studio albums: The Heartbeat (2012) and Before There Was (2014).
History[]
The band met whilst working in student ministry at their home church in Orlando, USA.[2] Their first EP was released in summer 2012, and their first album, The Heartbeat, later in the year.[3] The band released their second album, Before There Was, in July 2014.[4] The album was inspired by the book of Ephesians.[1]
In 2017, the band announced that they were disbanding.[5]
Faith[]
On describing the purpose of the band, lead singer Sean Curran stated: 'Bellarive is the belief that music is by design an tremendously powerful space for the creation to engage and interact with God. We feel like this is how God has called and equipped us to sew into His Kingdom. Success is obeying the call'.[4]
Bellarive also describe God's eternal perspective on the song 'From The Very Start'; Curran explains this by remarking 'It’s this unbelievable certainty that God knows and is in control in faith and confidence of my existence ... I’ve made peace with having faith in that covenant, despite how sometimes I feel I can see it so clearly and other times I feel like I can’t see more than three feet in front of me'.[1]
